  2. ‘Fuenlabrada Participa 2.0’: training workshops for local organisations

The City Council is organising free practical workshops on administrative management, team management, communication, Canva and AI, amongst others

With the aim of providing local associations and organisations with training in tools and skills to help them with their day-to-day needs, the Department for Citizen Participation has organised a new edition of the free ‘Fuenlabrada Participa 2.0’ programme.

Last year, over a hundred people signed up, and this year the figure is expected to be even higher, as registration remains open and has so far attracted around fifty participants.
This new edition will take place over five days throughout October and November.

“This is a free continuing education programme that arose in response to demand from the associations themselves. We began by running one-off workshops, but the enthusiastic response we received led us to turn it into an ongoing programme,” explains Mónica Sebastián, Councillor for Citizen Participation.

To make it easier to attend and ensure that distance is not a barrier, sessions are being held at various district councils.

The first, ‘Manage your association’, takes place today at the Naranjo La Serna District Council. ‘Team building’ will be the theme of the next session, to be held at the Arco Iris civic centre on 15 October. On the 29th, the session will be held at the Vivero Hospital Universidad District Council under the title ‘Raise the Profile of Your Association’.  In November, the workshops will be held on the 4th – ‘Boost Participation’ – at the Avanzada-La Cueva District Council, and on the 12th at Loranca_Nuevo Versalles-Parque Miraflores, where tools such as Canva Pro and AI will be covered.

The courses are aimed at members of any organisation registered with the municipal register. You can submit your application via this link
