  2. New Employment and Training Plan to hire 27 unemployed people

Preferably aged 45 or over and long-term unemployed

Fuenlabrada Town Council, through the CIFE, is launching a new Public Employment and Training Programme for Professional Activation. Its aim is to promote employment among unemployed people in the municipality aged over 45 and the long-term unemployed.

The programme involves the recruitment of 27 people: 20 street cleaning operatives, 2 qualified painters and 5 information officers. The contract is for a period of 8 months, starting on 1 October this year.

As an essential requirement for eligibility, candidates must have training and/or previous work experience in the role applied for.

In addition to work experience, the programme will provide participants with training in personal and social skills for employment, environmental awareness and good working practices, thereby improving their future job prospects.

The Councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Javier Bokesa, explained that “through these programmes managed by the Council, we are helping residents of our municipality who have been unemployed for the longest time to re-enter the labour market”.

Those interested in participating in this programme must register via the Fuenlabrada Job Centre (Avenida del Vivero s/n), having first made an appointment. The Job Centre will carry out the pre-selection of unemployed individuals, and the CIFE will only hire candidates who have been referred by the Job Centre.

The selection process is scheduled to take place at the end of June.

This programme forms part of the grants awarded this year through the Public Employment and Training Programme for Professional Activation. It is funded from the labour-related funds of the 2026 General State Budget, allocated for management by the Autonomous Communities.
