  2. The Spanish tour of the musical ‘The Book of Mormon’ gets underway in Fuenlabrada

The most award-winning musical in our country’s history sold out in Fuenlabrada in just 10 minutes

The Spanish tour, which will visit various cities following a successful run in the capital, kicks off in Fuenlabrada with a performance taking place today at 8.00 pm at the Tomás y Valiente Theatre. The company has been rehearsing for its Spanish tour at the theatre in Fuenlabrada for the past two weeks.

Tickets for this one-off performance sold out within the first ten minutes of going on sale.
With over 1,000 performances, more than 600,000 audience members and over 17 awards in Spain alone, ‘The Book of Mormon’ is the only contemporary comedy currently running simultaneously on Broadway, in London and, as of today, in Fuenlabrada.

‘The Book of Mormon’ is a production by the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Robert López, composer of major hits such as ‘Coco’ and ‘Frozen’, and is directed by David Serrano. The production is by ATG Entertainment, responsible for hits such as ‘Mamma Mia!’, ‘Billy Elliot’, ‘Matilda’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘Les Misérables’ and ‘Wicked’.

A masterful soundtrack performed live, combined with a cast of 25 actors delivering performances and dance routines of the highest calibre, makes this musical one of the most surprising and entertaining in history.

It tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries in a remote Ugandan village, where they discover that the villagers have far more pressing concerns to deal with, resulting in a story full of humour, social commentary and unforgettable songs.
