Based on 'The Sleeping Voice'

Premiere

‘Habla de mí, cuenta de ellas’ intertwines Spanish dance with historical memory.

Inspired by the silenced testimonies of so many women who suffered reprisals, this production delves into the story of Amalia, imprisoned in Ventas Prison in 1939 whilst pregnant, sentenced to death and surrounded by other women who, together, struggle to survive and resist within a reality marked by fear and uncertainty.

A performance that pays tribute to the strength and dignity of those who were rendered invisible. Through the language of Spanish dance, movement transforms pain into art and silence into a voice.
