Fuenlabrada’s municipal libraries are celebrating Library Day with a special programme of events designed to encourage reading, participation and the use of library services amongst people of all ages.

The day will feature cultural, recreational and educational activities designed to introduce people to the world of books and help them discover the many resources offered by the municipal libraries.

Highlights of the programme include a special storytelling session to mark Library Day, book launches by local authors, a book swap for readers, a blind book loan scheme, games around the library, the ‘Librarian for a Day’ initiative and a range of children’s activities.

In addition, bibliographic exhibitions will be on display at all municipal libraries during this period. Detailed information on opening hours and activities will be available at each library.
