  2. ‘Children and Early Technology’, a free workshop for parents

New session of the Tecnosaludable Family School

The aim of the session organised by the Department of Social Welfare on 13 October is to provide parents with support, information and tools when the time comes for their little ones to have their first experience with technological devices.

This free workshop forms part of the ‘Tecnosaludable School for Families’ programme, a service run by Fuenlabrada Town Council which aims to support families so that, through training, they can guide their children in the responsible use of technology.

Throughout the year, the School organises various sessions aimed at families and professionals interested in the fields of education, health, social work and so on…

At the session on the 13th, which focuses on children and their first devices, professionals from the municipal service for the prevention and treatment of technology addiction will speak to parents about tools for managing and regulating the technology used by our children, as well as apps and content suitable for them.

The workshop will take place at the social services centre on Calle Galenos, with a choice of morning or afternoon sessions; it is completely free of charge and only requires prior registration here.

“The aim is to provide families and professionals working with children and teenagers with the skills and knowledge needed to support young people in making good use of technology, acting as a safeguard against gambling and the misuse of social media…”, explains Raúl Hernández, Councillor for Social Welfare.
