The use of data improves the management of social services by anticipating needs
Fuenlabrada City Council has been honoured by the Principality of Asturias at the Haz+ Awards for its use of technological innovation in social services to improve care for people.
These awards recognise individuals, organisations and projects that stand out for their contribution to building a fairer and more caring society in the field of social rights.
Fuenlabrada City Council has been honoured in the Public Innovation category “for transforming the management of its social services through the use of data and technological tools to move towards a more proactive, accessible and equitable model of care”, as stated in the award citation.
Fuenlabrada is utilising data, technology and artificial intelligence to analyse, evaluate and anticipate its actions and programmes. This enables it to detect, foresee and intervene at an earlier stage. Furthermore, it has implemented the use of robotics and other technological devices in the care of older or dependent people.
“Public policies are driving a real transformation of the care system through artificial intelligence and the advanced use of data, improving the identification of needs, the personalisation of support and the efficiency of services,” said Raúl Hernández, Councillor for Social Welfare.
