In summer, the School for Families and Adolescents takes place outdoors 06-07-2026
These are free workshops organised by the City Council
The aim of the School for Families and Adolescence, run by the City Council through the Department of Social Welfare throughout the year and which moves to Parque de la Paz in the summer, is to help parents improve their relationships with their teenage children and family life.
These free sessions are aimed at parents with teenage children aged between 12 and 18. Throughout July, the workshops take place on Wednesdays from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm at Parque de la Paz, with entry via Calle Reinosa.
“A social educator is responsible for leading these group workshops for parents, during which, over the course of two hours and in a friendly and engaging manner, they are given guidance, tips and strategies to improve communication and family life,” explains Raúl Hernández, Councillor for Social Welfare.
The sessions will begin this Wednesday, 8 July. There will be four sessions focusing on adolescence, communication at home, friendships and relationships, and education and motivation.
In groups of around 15–20 people, using a highly participatory approach, participants will discuss the various topics to develop positive parenting skills with teenagers, reflecting on this crucial stage of life in order to take preventative measures that improve family relationships.
Registration can be done by sending an email to pisa@ayto-fuenlabrada.es or via WhatsApp to 689124865.
The workshops form part of the municipal PISA Programme, a range of services and activities aimed at teenagers aged between 12 and 18, as well as their families, which address a wide variety of aspects of this stage in our children’s lives, from leisure and educational opportunities to personalised socio-educational support.
Every year, more than 350 families attend these sessions.
