Evaluation of the EDINT project 21-05-2026
On a day that saw the presentation of the future of the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Data Office
Today, CIFE hosted the institutional event to evaluate the EDINT project, ‘Data that transforms cities’, and the presentation of the future of the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Data Office (CEOD).
This event marks the culmination of a phase of collaborative work focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence and urban data to serve the public.
Throughout the project, Fuenlabrada has successfully validated specific solutions in energy efficiency and sustainability, optimising resources through the analysis of consumption and environmental variables. Also in smart mobility, with the design of cleaner transport policies thanks to the study of traffic flows and access routes, and in urban development, with tools aimed at economic revitalisation, urban planning and better adaptation of public services to the local area.
During the event, specialist roundtable discussions were held with representatives from various universities, technology firms, the local business community and SMEs. These covered topics ranging from data governance and cybersecurity to local businesses’ expectations regarding the CEOD.
Mayor Javier Ayala emphasised that “we are looking at an innovative project that will help our council and other local authorities to improve our public policies. A project based on new technologies, in which public-private collaboration is essential and whose aim is to improve the lives of local residents.”
